Whaaat is he doing ?? 🙂
“Safe word, safe word !!” HA HA !!
Nell dated one of the instructors… glad they didn’t make her the “I know it all from experience.” gal… that’s what we have Hetty for… 😉
Callen & Sam bromancing over food? Never gets old !!
Whoa…
Let the game begin…
Of course these two will do *everything* to keep those people alive !! And, yeah, they definitely should have a theme song…
Enter COD’s wife and kiddo… Too cute !!
#Boom again…
Why exactly would Eric check their phones on their day off ?? OK, he prolly has this smart alert app when things like this happen…
Great shirt, Kens !!
THIS. WHOLE. SCENE… #happysigh
So Joelle’s still in the picture… yay NOT !!
He makes them run ?? Oh, G will hate him even more after that one… 😉
Niiiice new car (I know it has been seen in the eps before but since this is my 1st review this season I thought I’d mention it…)
Bike messenger down…
Just a liiittle crazy… and soooo brilliant at the same time…
I literally cringed when I saw Kensi & Deeks on the playground and was waiting for a “baby convo”… their “flipping” convo ?? Wayyyy better !!!
So he doesn’t have eyes or ears on them… You go, guys !!
Yeah, clearly not expecting them…
Wait… I just realized – there was no Hetty in this ep yet, right ??
Oh yeah, him we know…
Eric, you really wouldn’t want that, right ??
Aww… a rare Granger smile… courtesy of Nell…
“Rosecrans Catering”

When Deeks says NO you better listen…
That’s one huge boom…
Following his brother’s fate… but WHO WAS THE MOLE !!!
Aww… Nell really brings out Granger’s sweet side…
Double date over double-doubles… 😉
Yeah, that mole question is really troubling…
“Today’s Monday, Hetty.” “Ooh…” #Snort
OK, so far the pictures… now some comments/thoughts… 🙂
Overall I liked this episode very much !! I loved the ups and downs in tone and speed of scenes… it had the right amount of action and team banter, seriousness and lightness. I often watched a whole scene and had to rewind to make screencaps because I was so captivated the first time.
The ‘crazy’ bad guy was awesome. His motive and well-prepared revenge plan gave him depth. Well written and very well played.
Callen & Sam: loved their banter moments as well as their ‘we’ve worked together for so long and know each other’ moments.
Kensi & Deeks: they had great moments and dialogues and I really like the way they are presented lately.
Eric & Nell: great friendship – no necessity for more IMO.
Nell & Granger: always in for a treat – they have an awesome dynamic.
Hetty: so few lines, so much impact… 😉
Deeks & Monty: I love how they always bring Monty up.
Callen & Joelle: Bringing up Joelle? Not so much… ;-p
Well, well, it was a great decision to revive my picture reviews with the 150th episode. So let me know… What should be Callen & Sam’s Theme Song ?? Did you notice COD’s wife and daughter ?? Should Deeks & Monty get their own TV Show ?? Who do you think is the mole ?? Or, you know, just anything you wanna share about the ep or my thoughts… #MuchLove
This was a great episode. Reminds me of S5E12, Merry Invasion, when Callen and Sam went dark to keep the senator’s daughter safe and they had to do things on their own, while the team try their best to locate and help them. It kept me entertained, loved the bromance moments and the Densi part was just right. I agree with you, sindee, glad it was house flipping and not a subject about babies or kids. Don’t think they’re there yet. I think Joelle being mentioned is just there to keep their relationship alive for the show, but somehow I think something more will happen that just might end the relationship. Fingers crossed. Loved the Nell and Granger partnership, she does soften the old coot. And I am with you on the ‘I dated one of the instructors’ was the better move than she’d done the course herself scenario. We always enjoy the booms and I like how they started the episode with the car chase and boom. When watching it, I did wonder if it was Callen and Sam in the truck and Sam shooting the truck to blow. Then when I saw them leave the scene it confirmed it. It held my curiosity, wanting to know why they found themselves being chased by LAPD. Well done to the writer and director for this episode.
Yeah, by the way, I’ve been wondering about this one. What is house flipping?
Can someone explain? I’m not from the USA.
It’s an American term… means buying a decrepit house cheap, then very quickly remodeling it and selling it at a profit.
House flipping is when you buy a house really cheap because it needs work. You fix it up then turn it around and sell it for a profit. 🙂
I’m not from the US either, but I would guess it is when you buy a house that needs renovating relatively cheap, refurbish it and sell it for more than you spent on it afterwards.
I think it’s basically buying a house and reselling it with a profit in a short time.
Dave Kalestien (sorry if I spelled his name wrong) is SUCH a good writer! He has the Densi, Neric, some Hetty and Granger, Sam/Callen bromance, he really gives fans what they want to see in an episode. I LOVED IT!
I’m so glad your picture review is back! I missed it with the first two episodes. Thank you!!
I love the Sam / Callen bromance and thought it was very nicely done. I enjoyed the last scene with Nell and Granger. I did notice COD’s family. His daughter is adorable. Again thanks for the review!
Kyle Harimoto wrote this episode, not Kalstein.
This was a good episode. I like that everyone had a chance to shine and they worked together as a team ( well maybe not Hetty, she was not in this one a lot). Also loved the Kensi and Deeks scenes. I hope the show doesn’t screw them up.
Yay! The picture reviews are back. I love these. I also thought this was a great episode. I loved that all of the main characters had some great scenes. I just wish more people were watching the show.
The one question I want to answer is yes Deeks and Monty should have their own show.
BOOM, loved it, almost back to old times and the first series.
Great to have you back with the picture review!
I’ve missed them.
It was an awesome episode. I really like it when the whole team is involved and everybody gets to shine!
And I love the way the storyline of the mole is back in the picture.
Can’t wait to see what the writers have in store for us.
VERY good episode I think. I enjoyed it very much.
It’s hard to pick a favorite moment because everyhing was great and I liked all the interactions and pairings.
BUT of course as a diehard Densi fan I loved the breakfast scene sooo much. Domestic Densi! So sweet. Just seeing them together at home, acting like a normal couple, makes this realtionship so real and accessible for the viewers. But are they living together now? It didn’t look like either Kensi’s or Deeks’s apartment. Maybe I missed it in a previous episode, but I don’t recall them explicitly talking about moving in together or getting a new apartment.
As I said, I loved everything about this episode. The only thing I would criticise is the big flaw in the otherwise pretty perfect evil plan of this Chad Brunson, when Callen and Sam are in this garage and the guy can’t see or hear them. I found that a little strange since he’s got everything else planned really well, and it kinda was his doom in the end.
I’m very willing to overlook this fact for all the awesome scenes, though 😉 Good cliffhanger at the end with the unknown mole!
And, also thanks to sindee for the lovely picture review!
Deeks has new house since ‘Citadel’ (7×2). Wasn’t mention if they moved together, but obvisiously they both spend some time there. 🙂
Always love your picture reviews, sindee!
Hi guys!
The picture reviews are back, yes! Thank you sindee, I missed them very much!
I liked the episode, not liked the low ratings, and loved all Deeks and Kensi scenes.
I enjoyed the episode and I’m happy if this season will explore again storylines from the past, and give them some conclusion.
Can’t wait to see Di Nozzo in LA.
Regarding the ratings… I see that many series are very low now, (Castle, for example). I don’t know why, so I decided to just enjoy the stories I love. 🙂
Loved the episode – it was like ‘the old days’. It had everything: the booms, the action, the villain, the bromance, the friendship between Nell and Eric, even Granger was nice and well, the way Kensi and Deeks were together was just enough.
Glad to see the show like this. Like I love to see those picture reviews back in here, sindee!
And really, did anyone mention Joelle? I think I grew blind and deaf for that. Useless to mention, right?!
And there it is . . . . . . the picture review. THANK YOU sindee! Totally enjoyed Control and Command. All is good in my NCIS LA world.
Well, there is one thing – and since we are all trying to be true to ourselves with regard to our favorite show and characters – I’m gonna throw it out there.
I am probably COMPLETELY alone in this but . . . . . . . I miss the buzz cut . . . . . . “a little bit”.
OK, just me being silly. Seriously, I love our show, love our Magazine and love the fandom (who agrees or not).
It is awesome to have a place to share and have FUN. So come on people – join in!
Regards, Elizabeth
Loved this episode. Everyone had some screen time and a piece of the story.
This season is already so much better than last year.
Just hope the show survives. The live plus 7 numbers and demos are way better than the overnights. I hope that means something at CBS.
Someone mentioned contacting CBS. Does anyone know how to do that?
The CBS press express website has details of the press & PR officers…
Thanks
Loved the episode. Like has been said, good balance of bromance, just a hint of romance, action, and a GRANGER SMILE!!! The only thing that still has me feeling creeped out is the bad guy’s reference to “check mate.” Maybe just coincidence but it made my skin crawl.
Thanks for the recap, sindee!!!
Stellar episode. The director has been once of the best for NCISLA and i think the weakness of season 6 was the selection of directors.
Do you have screenshots of Deeks’ new house; exteriors, rooms shots, etc.? I’d love to to search out the details.
So happy to see the pictures back! Thanks very much. I am very late with this. But I did want to say that I loved this episode. For me it had the right mixture of excitement, tension and humour. The bromance of Callen and Sam never gets old. I enjoyed their discussion about the merits of fruits and smoothies as just one example. The scenes with Kensi and Deeks were just right. It conveyed their feelings but didn’t go overboard. Eric and Hetty did just what they were supposed to do. They held down the fort. The scenes with Granger and Nell were terrific. It is good to see some kindness coming from Granger and we get to see how much Nell is learning and improving from Granger’s mentoring. Again this was a great team at work. The mole was brought up again and will one day be identified I hope. When I think of this show, I think of threads. They may be in one episode or over several seasons. They are there to be followed and will eventually lead to a solution. I find that it always makes you think. One final comment about Caroline and Maeve: You were terrific ladies and so adorable. I am looking forward to the next episode.
