NCISLA’s Shane Brennan Teases Season Five

“NCIS: Los Angeles” literally left us hanging — or rather Sam’s (LL Cool J) wife Michelle (Aunjanue Ellis) was left dangling out the window of a high-rise building, holding on to a curtain for dear life, in the Season 4 finale. At the same time, her hubby and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were being tortured to reveal if Michelle, who operates undercover as Quinn, was a federal agent.

When “NCIS: Los Angeles” returns, the story will pick up immediately where we left off because, as executive producer/showrunner Shane Brennan told xfinityTV, “You can’t leave someone hanging out a window and someone having their teeth drilled out.” That said, he adds, “The interesting thing is we pick it up straight away but we end — this is a little bit exclusive in its own way — we end the episode some time later. It is not a few days later. It is weeks and weeks and weeks later.”

I’m not sure what to think about this. I was looking forward to finding out about Deeks’ past and seeing what happens between Kensi and Deeks, but now, we’re apparently not having as much of Deeks’ past as I originally thought, and this split and the reappearance of Jack worry me. Sorry, but I needed to vent. What does anyone else think about these developments?

Where do I even begin. Just when you think things can’t get any worst THIS happens. I read the interview about 5 times trying to process everything.

We all expected Deeks to be traumatized by his experience and even leave NCIS at some point. But Brennan makes it sound much more worst than that.

I assumed that by leading Densi on the edge throughout the season, they would at least give them a break at the end. BUT NO!!!!! Hit them while they are down. The word complication could have more than one interpretation. It could be – like we all expect – Jack.Or like Cintia said a comeback of Monica. Although to be honest with you I doubt she is pregnant. The timeline just doesn’t match and Deeks denied having THAT kind of relationship with her. Maybe it is something completely different. The writers always find a way to drive us crazy.

IT will be really interesting to see this new version of Deeks and where it leads him.

Sam as expected is trained to endure this kind of torture, therefore I believe it will be much easier for him to handle the situation. Thought, I want to see a HUGE apology from him to Deeks. I want him to acknowledge he was wrong mistreating and underestimating him this whole time.

It is so sweet that Hetty is the captain of the Densi ship and really cares about their future.

No matter what spoilers they release and no matter what we speculate I bet this season is going to blow our minds. I am so excited it is more about relationships rather than individual development.
