The start of NCIS: LA season 5 is just a few days away, but EW has your first look at their new title credits right now. It’s the least we can do to provide fans with this little treat. We know the wait for the new season was a long one. Luckily, all the questions that have plagued us during the summer — like how bad will the lasting effects of Deeks and Sam’s torture trauma will be and how the team tracks down the nuclear weapons that are still in dangerous hands — will all be answered 9 p.m. ET on Sept. 24.
Meanwhile, enjoy the video on –> insidetv.ew.com
Hmmm, reusing a couple of pieces of action there – not sure if I like, or think they could’ve done better :S
Anyone else have any thoughts?
I liked the new additions from Season 4. There were so many good action sequences from Season 4 that I would have had trouble choosing what to add although they should probably have included Callen’s driving in Lokhay and maybe Deeks surfing.
Glad to see Miguel Ferrer in the opening credits! Nice….
That’s a lot of characters to fit into a short opening sequence.
I wish the pair shot they have of Kensi and Deeks was a little more identifiable as them, rather than just an explosion with 2 bodies jumping out of a building (though that is an amazing action shot).
I think the individual shots they have for Callen, Sam and Kensi are representative of their characters’ personalities or abilities, and for some reason the Kensi shot makes me think of her going undercover in Afghanistan or something, which may well happen while DR is on real-life maternity leave. I don’t think the Deeks shot really represents his character – I’d like an action shot that shows him being a little more tricky.
It’s fitting that they have Hetty and Granger “paired up” at the end. I’m really looking forward to seeing the two of them together.
I’ll get used to it.
Is it just me or does everyone else go picking of the episode that the opening sequence covers. It is nice to see the team shot with gear from Killhouse episode and new LA city shots for the opening.
Nowhere near as good as the past four seasons. Maybe it’ll grow on me.
The one thing that does really annoy me is the fact that they’ve removed the clip of Hetty sipping her tea! That’s been in all four until now!
The whole thing feels stiff – it doesn’t flow as the past few have done. It feels more like a fanmade one than an actual one.
I agree that they should have kept Hetty sipping her tea. That was my first thought went I saw it.
