Fans were left puzzled after watching this week’s NCIS Los Angeles episode “The Frozen Lake” where Kensi was reassigned to an unknown place for an unknown time right after she finally admitted “their thing” to Deeks and they were about to explore their new love.
Why, Hetty, why ??
Some assumed Hetty was boycotting DENSI (though she was kind of actively pushing it back in “Wanted” 4×17) when actually it was necessary because of the real life fact that Daniela Ruah is pregnant.
Daniela and her fiancé David Paul Olsen (Eric Christian Olsen [Marty Deeks]’s brother & stunt double) are expecting a little boy in early 2014.
Right after the news of Daniela having a baby got out in September NCISLA production started working on the storyline for Kensi to cover her maternity leave.

Seems that with Kensi being out in the field with Granger, Deeks will be paired up with Nell at least for one case according to this behind-the-scene picture tweeted by @RickTunell.

There will be different ways for the fans who want to participate in this project, and, because the rest of the surprise plans are still in the works, we are only going to divulge the first part of it now.
So, that said, here´s what we have planned so far:
– we are going to send Daniela and David a Personalized Baby Book (courtesy of the amazing Merrie). To be on the book, all you have to do is write down some well wishes messages along with some “words of wisdom”: something your parents taught you and that you would want your future child to learn too.
– also, you can send a PHOTO of you holding a “It´s A Boy!” card/sign 😉
– DEADLINE for sending in entries: 15 November.

So there you have it, the first part of the surprise.

After the news came out this week that Daniela’ Ruah is officially engaged to NCISLA Co-Star Eric Christian Olsen’s brother David Paul Olsen and they are going to marry next year in Portugal.
Today more news leaked when Daniela told in an interview for the Portuguese TV Show “Alta Definição” that she’s pregnant with a boy…
Edit: The baby is due short after Christmas and will be born in the US.
