Callen Undercover Outfit Fan Favorite Winner: The Tuxedo.
Black, not white. Bow-tie, no neck tie. Pressed, not stressed. Smirking, not lurking. Girl, please. I’ll take two to go.
Behold. The final scene from Season 2, Episode 7:
Deeks: Callen? Come on, man. Chicks really dig the James Bond look.
Callen: Well, I don’t think a little male bonding would hurt anyone. Sam?
Hanna: Hmph. Somebody’s gotta keep you two fools out of trouble.
Deeks: This is what I’m talking about. Because this is going to be awesome! I know the perfect spot, too. We are going to make out like bandits!
HETTY APPEARS
Deeks: Ooo.
Hetty: Gentlemen. Going somewhere?
Callen: Just going to grab a little celebratory cocktail on a job well done.
Hetty: Not in my tuxedos, you’re not.
Hanna: We’ll only be a few hours, Hetty. We won’t get into any fights or anything.
Hetty: March!
Deeks: Now I know how Cinderella felt with her evil stepmother.
Hetty: I heard that, Mr. Deeks.
The undercover assignment was a success. The after-party, however, was not.
Pretty sure Callen, Hanna, and Deeks fans were all severely disappointed.
I mean, I’m still frowning about it.
Back to Callen.
Discussing why we would like him dressed in this hottness over all the rest, our sindee made this observation: “I think it was no surprise that the tuxedo won. It’s always the opposite of the “usual” clothing that people dig. Since Callen dresses like “Oliver Twist” people love seeing him in a suit or tuxedo.”
Point well taken. It really does take Hetty’s genius to pull our hero into clothing that is epic to look at. The formal shirts, the leather jackets, the stark blue dress shirts, the uniforms… these all pop in contrast to the shirt & jeans mixture that Callen usually wears. The tuxedo was just the highest form of “clothing high” we’ve gotten from G to date.
If Callen, himself, had anything to say about it, he’d be wearing the exact same thing undercover.
No variation.
No panache.
Nothing.
Just jeans and a casual shirt.
Again.
And Again.
And yet again…
Team Callen: Thank you, Hetty!!! You are epic!!! Don’t stop!

Oh, yeah. The tux. Wouldn’t change a thing about Hetty’s magnificent traditional black and white ensemble. She certainly knows how to dress up our hero. The only thing I would change? That they stop the action in the episode, and let us look just a little longer.
And as much as I would have loved for Hetty to have let the boys go out and play, while dressed up in her expensive attire, she probably saved some lives that night. I know if I were out somewhere, and those three walked in dressed like that – well – let’s just say that there had better be medical personnel present and a defibrillator close by.

And as for the tuxedo, never, ever have Callen clean shaven in combination with it. It’s te purr-fect combination of sturdyness going with the sophisticated.

Yessss! Tuxedo was my favorite, too (though it was tough choice). I can only agree with justdreaming and Richtsje – the look is just perfect the way it is, no changes necessary! There’s almost nothing more to say besides one thing: Callen should not be clean-shaven at all. A clean-shaven Callen is just… not Callen…
I go for the Tux any time, boy did they look good.
I too like a slightly scruffy Callen.
I also like Military dress uniform, Navy blues or whites.

As much as I love all the blue shirts (and well, Callen dressed in practically anything I’ve seen so far on NCISLA) would love to see more of the tux on the show!
Hetty has great taste for putting Callen in that tux and I love it just the way it is!
Coming a very close second (in my opinion), is Callen dressed as a doctor (yes, I do agree we definitely need some medical attention if left to feast our eyes longer on Callen in a tux) and who better to provide it than Dr. Callen? Ha.
